CASA is the only organization that empowers everyday citizens to advocate in Juvenile Abuse and Neglect Court. In an overburdened social welfare system, children can fall through the cracks. CASA volunteers change that. Appointed by the Judge, CASA volunteers monitor the case, advocate for the child, facilitate services, and collaborate with parties to the case. CASA volunteers typically handle just one case at a time—and commit to staying on that case until the child is placed in a safe, permanent home.
