LEARNING CENTER

CONTINUING EDUCATION

Continuing Education (CE) is not only a requirement from National CASA.
It is also the key to increasing our abilities to be exceptional for the children who rely upon us.

CASAs are expected to earn a minimum of 12 CE hours each calendar year. All hours are logged into Optima and approved by your Advocate Manager.

REPORTING STANDARDS

A new CASA report format rolled out in October 2021. Highlights of the changes include:

  • entries by child rather than date

  • paragraph summaries of topics

  • reduced/eliminated quotes

  • increased story-like verbiage

  • list of best interest bullet points

These resources are to help you learn the new format.
