A Court Appointed Special Adovcate (CASA) is an everyday citizen, specially trained by CASA of McHenry County, to advocate in Juvenile Abuse Court for the best interests and safety of children involved as victims of abuse and neglect. CASA volunteers are appointed by the Juvenile Court Judge to chidlren 21 years and younger to be the eyes and ears of the Judge and the voice of the child. They gather information, identify resources and work in partnership with all parties to the case to ensure the child's needs are met. The ultimate goal of CASA is to help ensure every child has a safe, permanent home be it through reunification, guardianship or adoption. Fill out an application or contact for more information.
CASA of McHenry County hosts several events each year to provide financial support to the organization. Supporters of CASA come together to help plan and execute these events. We are always seeking talented members of the community to help plan an event. View our upcoming volunteer opportunities here or contact us at to learn more about event volunteer opportunities.
